When is the Choctaw Indian Fair held and what can a fairgoer expect?

The Choctaw Indian Fair is held in July each year on the ancestral homelands of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians in Choctaw, Mississippi. The week-long celebration includes cultural demonstrations, World Series Stickball, concerts, tribal arts and crafts, traditional Choctaw social dancing, competitions and more.

Where is the Choctaw Indian Fair located?

The Choctaw Indian Fair is located on the ancestral homelands of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. Choctaw (near Philadelphia, MS) is located in Neshoba County in East Central Mississippi.

Is the Choctaw Indian Fair open to the public?

Yes. The Choctaw Indian Fair is open to the public, and visitors from across the United States and around the world attend each year.

Is there an admission fee?

Yes, Admissions into the fairgrounds are as follows:
Adult Season Pass: $30
(18 years of age or older)

Adult Day Pass: $15
(18 years of age or older)

Student Season Pass: $20
(17 years of age or younger)

Student Day Pass: $10
(17 years of age or younger)

Ages 5 and Under: FREE

The season and day passes provide access to most activities on the fairgrounds, including concerts, stickball games, cultural activities, and demonstrations. Additional fees apply at the carnival/ midway, food vendors, and for participation in competitions such as RezRun, Iron Warrior and Cornhole.

Is parking available?

Yes. Free designated parking areas are available near the fairgrounds. Event staff and signage on Highway 16 East and West will help guide visitors to the appropriate parking areas. Complimentary shuttles operate throughout the fair to transport fair guests to and from public parking areas.

Is the fair family-friendly?

Absolutely. The Choctaw Indian Fair is proud to be one of the Southeast’s premier family-friendly events with activities for all ages, including games, rides, cultural exhibits, and entertainment. Elderly and disabled cart services are available throughout the fairgrounds to assist guests. Cooling Zones are also available for relief from the heat. The fair is a family, non-alcoholic event.

Are pets allowed?

Only certified service animals and pre-authorized animals are allowed on the fairgrounds and must be supervised, restrained, and/or crated. Click here for the Fair policy on pets.

What are we allowed to bring in?

All guests will pass through a security gate upon entrance to the fairgrounds. Strollers, wagons, diaper bags, backpacks, and reusable drink containers are allowed in but are subject to search. ABSOLUTELY no firearms, alcohol, drugs, or unauthorized ATV or UTV are allowed.

What happens if inclement weather is in the area?

The Choctaw Indian Fair is a rain or shine event, and most activities will continue as scheduled. However, certain outdoor events, competitions, or performances may be delayed, relocated, or canceled in the event of severe weather.

The safety of our guests, participants, and staff is our top priority. Fair officials will monitor weather conditions closely and make adjustments when necessary.

Any schedule changes or weather-related updates will be announced through the Choctaw Indian Fair social media pages.

Rain Plan for Concerts
If a rain plan is initiated, concerts will be moved to the Silver Star Convention Center at Pearl River Resort, which serves as an extension of the Choctaw Indian Fair.

The main entrance will be on the Silver Star Casino side.

Concert admission (with your fair ticket) will take place in the pre-function lobby.

Guests should follow posted signage and staff directions.

Stickball & Stage Activities
Stickball games will continue as scheduled unless lightning is present in the area.

Áyipa Village Stage activities may be delayed or canceled depending on the severity of the weather.

Inclement Weather Ticket Policy
No refunds will be issued due to rain or weather conditions.

Severe Weather Shelters
If severe weather occurs, shelter locations include:

  • Choctaw Central High School
  • Gymnasium (CCHS Gym)
  • Chahta Immi Outreach Center
  • Choctaw Indian Fair Exhibit Hall
  • Tribal Office Building

How do I redeem my fair tickets if I bought them online? 

If you purchased your Choctaw Indian Fair tickets online, please bring your E-Tix QR Code to the Ticket Booths and enter through the E-Tix line.

A fair staff member will scan your QR Code to verify your purchase. Once the QR Code has been successfully scanned, you will be issued a physical Season Pass or Day Ticket that will serve as your official admission into the fairgrounds.

Please have your QR Code ready on your mobile device or printed copy to help keep the line moving smoothly.

Will ATM Machines be available at the Fair?

Yes, ATM Machines will be located in front of the Arts & Crafts Pavilion. 

The ATM Machines are listed on the Fair Map.

Where is the Lost & Found?

The lost and found is located at the Mobile Police Unit in front of the Information Center.
